I have just secured my seasonal pitch for 2019 - Roebeck is a truly magical setting. If you want a peaceful, fuss-free break away from everyday life then it will be perfect for you too. Looking forward to spending many weekends there next year.
This looks like it is going to be a great holiday park. Lots of work has gone on throughout the winter and a big tidy up operation has improved the site this spring. There are some bungalows, static caravans and camping pitches for caravans and mobile homes. Looking forward to see the finished park when it is all completed.
We have just returned from our stay at Roebeck country park. I read some of the reviews about the site and had reservations about staying. We pitched our tent by the lake, sheltered by the trees. The portacabin toilets near our pitch were always clean. The showers were spotless . Washing machines were available and a washing up area was housed in a wooden building. We found this well equipped and clean. This was a friendly, relaxed, quiet site. It was lovely sitting by the camp fire by the lake in the evening.Electric hook ups are available. Electric plugs are available in the shower area so you can dry your hair after showering. The main showers cost 20p but free showers are available with lashings of hot water. Some reviewers have complained about noise, you can hear the sheep and cows and ducks, I imagine this would be very annoying if you were a city dweller and only used to city traffic. This is camping as it was meant to be. Maybe the critics should try glamping at ten times the cost. All in all a lovely site at really good prices.
Just arrived back from Roebeck. Lovely experience. Staff and owners couldn't be more helpful with everything. There is some work in the top field, only improving it and putting lovely lodges (wish I could afford one). The rest of the park is unaffected so do try it. I'll definitely be back - soon!
Lovely small mixed campsite with everything allowed from tents to RVs and luxury lodges. Facilities are good. A small shed houses the washing up and has a fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle and microwave! Great location for Ryde but not much walkable directly from the site. I would have given this 5 stars but they're still putting in some of the lodges and they were pouring concrete on days we were there starting from 8am. Also you do have to pay to use the showers and only one was working while we were there. As the site is small it was fine as it wasn't busy but it would be much nicer if they were free!
