Welcoming and cozy western themed restaurant tucked away in Castle Street at the bottom of Union Street in Ryde. I had the Nachos starter with chilli and cheese which was really tasty. Then followed up with the special mixed grill with spiced fries, side salad and a side of onion rings, all cooked to preference and really enjoyable.Introduced by a friend at work, it's a great find and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good meal and that little something different. 5*
I went to the alamo with my partner for her birthday, we were made to feel welcome from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. Very friendly staff and all round good atmosphere. Small and cosy family run restaurant with a lot of heart and passion put into the place which you can see from the staff and the food. Steak cooked perfectly to order and the sides were all delicious. Definitely would come back here again!
Hosted by a charming group of people, the Alamo has a wonderful and well cooked selection of Tex Mex dishes (though really it'll probably be the excellent choice of locally supplied steaks you'll be coming for!) and a bar downstairs to keep you sweet while they prepare your order. Best go with an idea of which two courses you'll be having though, as I've still to meet a person who can polish off all three with such generously sized portions on offer.
